Data Governance is a collaborative practice that sets expectations for organizational behaviors with respect to making decisions which impact data assets.
Purpose
To develop processes, structures, and analysis to support data stewardship, data quality, security, privacy, integration, access, and compliance.
Vision
Data governance will ensure that data is treated as an institutional asset and empower data-based decision-making while protecting individual privacy and institutional security.

Join us for class!
As part of the Agility Training Series, we offer a fun and engaging data governance class open to all UA employees. The goal of the data governance course is to explain how to manage and protect data effectively. You will learn to fix data quality issues, set data standards and policies, and ensure data security.


We want to hear from you!
Data Stewards, Stakeholders, Users, and Consumers are encouraged to submit topics for the Data Governance Council to discuss regarding data strategy improvement opportunities. Please follow the link below to submit your ideas.
